About Us

As a newly formed member of the Rivers trust Movement, the Lincolnshire Rivers Trust (LRT) covers some of the richest and diverse farmland and watercourses within England. The Trust has been established to help protect, restore and enhance rivers and wetlands in Lincolnshire. From the chalk streams in the Lincolnshire Wolds, across the vast and rich farmland areas and down to the North sea, the Trust engages with local people, communities and authorities to carry out monitoring and improvement projects. We aim to raise awareness of our diverse aquatic landscape and understand the factors influencing our river network and wildlife so that they can be appreciated and enjoyed by all.

Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership

The Trust was established in 2013 and was quick to get things moving. In the summer of 2013 the Trust joined the Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership (GLNP). The not-for-profit partnership achieves more for nature because it works to high standards, looks for opportunities and seeks to add value to existing initiatives. Most importantly it uses sound information and builds on it to inform strategy; delivering for the Partners. This is why the GLNP are a Government accredited Local Nature Partnership, one of around 50 in England.
